How To Quickly Read A Creator’s BIX Profile

At BIX we aim to make the process of connecting brands and creators as easy and quick as possible, and we designed our product with that goal in mind.

While browsing for the right creators to work with you are likely to look at dozens, if not hundreds of profiles. You want to be able to quickly move on if a creator’s profile does not match what you are looking for. At BIX we aim to make the process of connecting brands and creators as easy and quick as possible, and we designed our product with that goal in mind. The influencer profile is divided into four sections. Each of them has crucial information that may help you make a decision, but for an initial selection you don’t need to read all of it.

In the first section we introduce the creator. This section includes their name, their profile picture, a description written by them, tags that describe their content including their main category, and their location. What you should be looking at first if you want to make a quick assessment is their content tags. By looking at the tags you will be able to immediately see if a creator targets the same niche, or even the same category as your product. After all, it wouldn’t make sense for a home & garden creator to advertise a laptop. Secondly, depending on your brand, you might want to also check where the creator is located. If you are targeting a specific region, having creators in the midst of it is an excellent way to do that.

If a creator seems promising at this point, you can move on to the second section. Here you can see their Instagram or YouTube account (or both if they have them), how many followers/subscribers they have, you can quickly navigate to their profile, and most importantly, you can see a sample of their content. When looking through a creator’s profile, you need to look at many posts to determine if their content fits your needs. However, on BIX, creators are encouraged to pick content that best portrays both their content and how they handle brand sponsorships.

Should you find their content appealing, next you would want to know how they perform on their respective platform. In section three we provide you with every metric you might need including their target audience including age and gender, their engagement rate, average impressions/views, comments, impressions/views by country, and more. It’s certainly a lot of numbers to take in, but for an initial assessment you don’t need to take all of them in. A good indicator of how well an influencer performs is their engagement rate. Generally you want at least between 1% - 3%. This number combines likes, comments and shares to give you an overall estimate of how their audience responds to them. Smaller channels tend to have a higher engagement rate, while larger channels tend to have a smaller engagement rate. Another metric to observe is their target audience by age. If their most popular age bracket matches the age bracket your product is aimed at, they are likely a very good candidate to promote your product.

Finally, if they meet all of your criteria, the only thing left to know is how much their services might set you back. In this section you can see a creator's pricing, broken down by type of service (example: a story, 60-second mid-video ad integration, a sponsored post, etc.). Usually, this is not transparent, and that complicates the process of connecting with creators quite a bit. Negotiating takes a long time, and as someone just getting started with influencer marketing you might not know what a fair price to pay is. However, on BIX, we value transparency. With a single glance you can know if a creator’s services fit your budget, and what kind of service you might be interested in hiring them for.

In case everything fits within your vision, all you have to do is send them a message and your collaboration can get started in no time. Hopefully, now you know exactly what to look for and how to assess a profile as quickly as possible.

Don’t forget, bix.co is an ever improving product and our ears are always to the ground. We collaborate closely with our users to provide the best possible product and as such you can expect that in the future this process will be even simpler.
